Response to Smiling From the Inside Out | @Heart_Path | #leadfromwithin

Sharon Reed @Heart_Path

self conscious

This post is in response to Sharon Reed’s Smiling From the Inside Out found on Heartpath’s Blog.  Sharon is a Twitter Friend whom I’ve run across in Lolly Daskal’s #leadfromwithin Tweetchat.  It is an amazing group full of energy and passion.  We run around before the chat saying hello to friends new and old.  After the chat we linger, profusely thanking each other for insights shared and time well spent.  Here is my thank you list from last week: @giselle2323, @RobinMelina, @ericrovner, @DarrinKrizel, @ajmanik, @Koomba303, @PamFR, @LollyDaskal, @scedmonds, @Simon_GB, @elincomm, @dgeaston, @jenbrentano, @mike_nunes, @MorberMarketing, @karenweikert, @StrategicMonk, @EdwardColozzi, @gldunnjr, @DaveStachowiak, @susankepler, @AllisonDeanLove, @JohnGriffinTx, @elbiddulph, @tomarciamae, @SociallySavvy4U, @thehealthmaven, @prsingleton, @KnowledgeBishop, @Xiniaa, @TheOnlyJa, @KrisGrabarek, @UrResumeConsult, @complexityspace, @waynemcevilly, @karenweikert, @rebelbrown, @MamaBritt, @KRLRose, @gynedoc1, @tornadabait, @VST69tomyclik, and @akroundtree. Which leads me to the Self Conscious one…

You can see her message in her smile

But go read it. I suggest starting from the beginning, here, Getting Lost. If you skip right to Smiling From the Inside Out you miss some very important context. Sharon’s earned her inside out smile. She built the capacity for it by courageously tackling deep issues on what she calls her “heart path”. To our benefit she decided to share her struggles, fears, and stories along the way. Those with eyes to see and ears to hear? Pause. Reflect on this smile, an inside out smile, no Mona Lisa enigma. We know who the artist is, and we can even start to figure out how she painted it.  She will tell you that she had help and support along the way; including some of the long-time members of what’s now called the “LFW family”.  But the work is hers.  The same work we all have to do to be smile and inside out smile…

Thank you Sharon

For sharing your stories. For allowing me to take liberties with your photo. For lighting the path for all of us who seek. With your inside out smile. With your heart energy. With your strength and courage. Thank you. We all appreciate it, and wish you continued success on your journeys.

  1. Josepf ~ Thank you for sharing this…what Sharon so bravely and eloquently speaks of in her blog really hits the core of our LFW chats.  Sharon has found and is finding her way through this thing we call life, being lost and then breaking free to find and become her true self.  I said this to Lolly once…that too often a noble heart is squandered because it is living in the wrong home…Nice to see that Sharon’s big heart has journeyed outside of that dwelling place and out in to the world to be shared!  All my best, John

  2. John, I love your comment “…too often a nobole heart is squandered because it is living in the wrong home…”. Well said, my friend.

Josepf, thank you for sharing my story with your community outside of LFW.  I am humbled and touched to know that others draw strength from my story, and in that way, the sharing has become a part of how I serve others…freely, openly, and with a glad heart.
